Shopkeepers re-purposing the original guard sockets of Bhadra Gate as their own store or storage. ‘Circumstantial’ use of space - created out of necessity, using whatever is available to them. Perhaps these shop owners do not have as much social influence as those the main area of Bhadra Plaza. Not a social space. Much less interaction with passers by than those shopkeepers outside, their businesses suffer as a result.
